Kostanay region is one of the fastest growing regions of Kazakhstan. 

The region has significant economic, industrial potential, a large market for goods and services, a developed network of roads and railways, highly qualified personnel, etc.

An important factor of a favorable business climate is a dynamically developing economy: the gross regional product of the region over the past 10 years has increased 5 times. 

At present, the geography of foreign economic relations of regional enterprises includes 80 states.

The foreign trade turnover of the region in January-October 2019 amounted to $ 2,276.2 million, an increase of 13.2% compared to the same period last year ($ 2 011,0 million).

The products of the region are mainly exported to China, Germany, the Russian Federation, Switzerland, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan and other countries of the world.

The largest suppliers of imported products are the Russian Federation, Japan, China, Germany and others.

The main priority of the economic policy of the Kostanay region is the creation of favorable conditions for attracting investment and developing the investment process in the region. Over the past few years, a lot has been done to create a system to support investment activity and to form an investment climate, as well as tools and mechanisms for state support of investments have been developed.

Today, a machine-building cluster is being formed in the Kostanay region. Partners in this project are such companies as Peugeot, Iveco, SsangYong, Hyundai, Jac and Geely.
