Food production is one of the highest priorities in the economy of the Kostanay region.

Among the main regional products can be distinguished food – it is flour, confectionery, dairy and sausages.

The largest producers of flour and macaroni are Kostanay flour mill JSC, Asalia LLP, Romana-Nan LLP, Best Kostanay LLP, confectionery products of Bayan-Sulu JSC, dairy products are produced by DEP LLP, MILKh LLP, Sadchikovskoe LLP, Lider-2010 LLP, meat and sausage products - Karasu-Et LLP, Razumovich LLP, etc., beer and nonalcoholic products are produced by Firm Arasan LLP, Rudny Branch of Firm Arasan LLP, Aqua-Arasan LLP, Altyn Omir LLP.

The implementation of export deliveries of products is one of the priority tasks of foreign economic and trade activities of the region. More than a quarter of all food exports is accounted for the Kostanay region. In the export of flour, the region occupies a leading position in the country.

At the same time, the potential of the region to export food products is not fully realized. Export opportunities are as follows (data / per year):

Macaroni - 15 thousand tons;

Vegetable oil - 8 thousand tons;

Meat - 3 thousand tons;

Confectionery - 30 thousand tons.
