First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar and heads of large German companies held an online meeting where issues of cooperation in the field of logistics and development of the transport industry were discussed. About 100 representatives of government and business circles of Kazakhstan and Germany took part in the videoconference. In his speech, Roman Sklyar stressed the importance of partnership between Kazakhstan and Germany in the development of the transport and logistics complex, as well as the need to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and search for new ways of development. Germany is the first European country to which a container train was sent from China in transit through Kazakhstan.


In turn, the Chief Managing Director of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, Michael Harms, gave a positive assessment of the development of the logistics and transport industry of Kazakhstan and expressed confidence in the dynamic continuation of work to increase indicators, and also emphasized the reliability of cooperation with Kazakh partners and commitment to all agreements reached. Director of the company "HHLA Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG" (Hamburg Port) Thomas Luthier noted the great potential for the development of further mutually beneficial cooperation, calling Kazakhstan a key partner. Other participants of the meeting also paid special attention to the future prospects of strategic cooperation between the two countries and the implementation of joint projects. At the end of the meeting, a traditional podium discussion was held in the "question-answer" format with the participation of Kazakh and German representatives of large logistics and transport companies.
