Inspecting the implementation of the State Program of Industrial and Innovative Development initiated by Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, as well as the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the development of the industrial potential of the Kostanay region, Prime Minister Askar Mamin paid a working trip there.
The head of government visited the Kostanay Industrial Zone, where he took part in the opening ceremony of the Kirovets energy-saturated tractor factory at the Kostanay Tractor Plant. The design capacity of the enterprise is 700 equipments per year with a gradual increase in localization to 50% by 2025 (manufacture of plastic elements for the interior / exterior, since 2021 – high pressure hoses, ballast weights, since 2025 – cabs, tanks, and carrying frames , disks, driveshaft, counterweights, etc.). The total investment in the project, which is being implemented in three stages, will amount to 7.3 billion tenge; it is planned to create about 500 new jobs in production and 700 in related industries.
In the presence of the prime minister, the Director General of Petersburgsky Tractorny Zavod JSC Sergey Serebryakov and the president of the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business Andrey Lavrentiev signed an agreement on the entry of Petersburgsky Tractorny Zavod JSC into the authorized capital of the Kostanay Tractor Plant.
“Kazakhstan sets itself the task of creating high-tech production of agricultural equipment and components for them. Today we are launching the production of the legendary Kirovets tractor. The new plant will provide agriculture in Kazakhstan with high-quality and reliable Kirovets equipment of domestic assembly,” said Mamin.
The head of government personally tested the first Kirovets tractor manufactured in Kazakhstan.
In Kazakhstan, PTZ products are very popular. So, from 2014 to 2017, about 500 Kirovets were sold in the country. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the annual demand for tractors in the Republic of Kazakhstan is about 1,600 tractors.
As part of a working trip, the prime minister also got acquainted with the activities of large enterprises in the construction and textile industries of the region – the Kostanay-MBI LLP house-building factory and the Bolshevichka production cooperative.
According to the results of 9 months 2019, the volume of industrial production in the Kostanay region amounted to 862.8 billion tenge. Volumes in the mining industry – 373.4 billion tenge. In the manufacturing industry, production volumes increased by 23.8% and amounted to 446.6 billion tenge. The growth was achieved as a result of an increase in volumes in engineering by 95.9% (share in processing – 36.4%), metallurgy by 28.3% (share in processing – 21.6%), as well as in the manufacture of finished metal products, except machinery and equipment, and light industry.
