On January 21, 2020, a business forum was held in Nur-Sultan in the framework of the meeting of the Kazakh-Slovak intergovernmental commission on economic, scientific and technical cooperation in order to expand bilateral investment cooperation.

The central theme of the event was the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation, the parties agreed to strengthen partnerships in the energy, processing and food industries, more than 20 Slovak companies took part in the forum.

Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "SEC" Tobol " Ospanov K.T. Negotiations were held with representatives of such companies as Sonne Crystal (manufacture of glass products), PROGAST s.r.o. (food industry), investment opportunities of Kostanay region were presented, perspective directions of bilateral cooperation were discussed.

It is worth noting that last year, trade between Kazakhstan and Slovakia exceeded $ 26 million. Today in our republic there are about 40 companies with the participation of capital of Slovakia.
