An American companies are exploring the investment opportunities of the Kostanay Region. A delegation from the USA consisting of 18 people arrived in Kostanay region. The purpose of the visit is to explore opportunities for implementing projects in the agro-industrial complex. The delegation includes shareholders and heads of well-known world companies TysonFreshMeatInc., Global Beef Investors, ANIMART Dairy & Livestock Solutions, VALLEY, VALMONT Irrigation, 3rd Millennium Genetics LLC and Kazakhstani businessman Yerkin Tatishev - Chairman of the Board of Directors of KUSTO GROUP.

The program of the visit is rich, the guests have already visited a number of enterprises for the processing of agricultural products and food production, including MILH LLP, Sadchikosvkoe LLP, Karasu-Et LLP and others. Also, First Deputy Akim of the region Nurmukhambetov G.T. and Deputy Akim of the region Myrzaliev M.I. held a meeting with the delegation on the territory of the Industrial Zone of Kostanay, where they presented the investment potential of the region, spoke about the priority directions of the regional agro-industrial complex development and measures of state support provided for the implementation of investment projects. This particularly applies to the processing of agricultural crops.
On instructions from the Head of State, the region is actively working to ensure the transition from raw materials production to high-value-added products that are in demand in the domestic and foreign markets. Such areas as the production of grain, oilseeds and other popular crops and their further processing have large reserves production volumes.
The share of agricultural production in the region’s GRP is 12%. Agro-industrial complex of the region in the republican volume produces 25% of grain and 30% of flour.
The average annual grain production over the past 5 years is within 5 million tons, oilseeds 200-250 thousand tons. Mainly produced grain soft wheat varieties.
The gross output of agricultural products as of October 1 of the current year amounted to - 295.5 billion tenge, including in animal husbandry - 96.5 billion tenge. The meat production in January-September of the current year increased by 4.6% (73.5 thousand tons), including the manufacturing sector by 7.5% (24.4 thousand tons), milk production increased by 6, 7% (358.4 thousand tons), including the production sector was 6.7% (82.8 thousand tons), egg production amounted to 492.0 million units, including manufacturing sector 314 million units or 64% of total production.

These factories supply the retail chains and restaurants with top-quality finished meat products, in a variety of products, from frozen carcasses and packaged meat cuts to hamburger patties.
Investors also noted that the region has great potential for projects in the agro-industrial complex. At the same time, it is important that there are all conditions, a rich resource and raw materials base and full support from the state.
In general, the delegation is exploring opportunities for the implementation of projects not only in the meat sector, but also in growing crops, producing dairy products, etc.
