On February 26 of this year, the akim of the Kostanay region, Archimedes Mukhambetov, as part of the Government delegation, took part in the II Forum of interregional cooperation of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan with the participation of the Heads of Government on the theme “Cooperation of regional business in the field of agro-industrial cooperation, industrial cooperation, industry and tourism”.

It should be noted that mutually beneficial friendly relations have developed between the Kostanay region and the regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The foreign trade turnover of the Kostanay region with the regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019 shows an increase of 34.9% and amounted to more than 150 million US dollars.

Within the framework of the final meeting of the Forum with the participation of the Prime Ministers of the republics, an Action Plan on the implementation of the memorandum on mutual cooperation between the khokimiyat of the Tashkent region and the akimat of the Kostanay region for 2020-2021, as well as the Agreement on the creation of a joint venture between Avtosanoat invest LLC, LLP was signed SaryarkaAvtoProm and JSC Allure Group of Companies for the sale and export of cars manufactured in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the end of the Forum, 52 documents on the development of economic cooperation were signed, including the Forum Final Declaration, as well as interdepartmental, interregional and commercial agreements in mechanical engineering, agricultural, financial, banking, industrial, infrastructural, pharmaceutical and other fields totaling about $ 500 million.
